When I first started blogging to build an audience for my book, I read Yaro Starak’s blog. He said that the way he got tons of website visitors and built up his traffic was by commenting on 10 blogs per night. So in 2010, that is what I did. I joined LinkedIn on January 27, 2007. In the last five years, LinkedIn has changed a lot. I’ve used LinkedIn both as a job seeker and a business owner. It has gotten a lot more interesting in the last couple of years, as LinkedIn integrated and then rejected Twitter, as they created ever more sophisticated profiles and pages for businesses, and as people have gotten more active in the groups feature. Take it from someone who has blogged since 1999, blogging is HARD! It’s a lot of work and you have to do it every week. Recently I read an Agitator article about the 9 downsides to social media.They reprinted Eric Sass’s ideas, such as; Erik’s 9 reasons to quit now (each is nicely elaborated in his article on a social media blog) … It’s a waste of time.
