What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is always changing because the way Google does its search engine rankings is always changing. You can’t just stuff an article with keywords, like you used to. The amount of backlinks that you have really matters more and more. So if your business doesn’t have a backlinking thing going on, you are not going to get as much organic search traffic.
And you know, that’s okay. You don’t have to survive on organic search traffic. If you have a bricks and mortar business, people can just stumble upon you. Most people who come to my website are not just stumbling upon it, but come to it deliberately, because of something I’ve written somewhere else, or because my partners are promoting me and what I do.
So if you don’t understand SEO, don’t worry about it. Anything I would tell you about specific strategies to stay on top of it would most likely be obsolete in a few months anyway.
What is SEOQuake?
SEOQuake will give you the keyword density of a site, the whois lookup right there, as well as a diagnosis of the site to see how it does in terms of being the best for SEO.
What is SEOBook?
SEOBook is something that sits in your browser and gives you information on each page that you visit, how many backlinks it has, how old the site is, and more.
This post is about SEOQUAKE! Is it better than Copyblogger’s SCRIBE? I have no idea. However, I did hear about it on the SaltyDroid’s link so I had to click.
It’s free, and it shows you how people are finding your website.
It also shows you what you can do to improve your search engine rankings.
And it shows you a pretty keyword cloud. I like it!
